You may optionally specify your e-mail address and a password to maintain ownership of this record so that you can edit it later. Your e-mail address will not be displayed to other users, but your e-mail alias (left of @-sign) will be displayed so you can identify that you own a particular record. Also, your password is required to unlock the record. This is not a full user account management system so the e-mail address and password is not shared across all records, rather you must specify e-mail and password for each record you want to maintain ownership over. It is suggested that you use a familiar password. Passwords are stored in an encrypted fashion (using mysql's password function).
